What I have to offer for your viewing pleasure here is this beautiful antique sterling silver brooch / pin! This fabulous antique brooch has a winged griffin charging at the top with an armorial shield or royal coat of arms across from it while the griffins talons rest on a faux coin of the goddess Minerva. Beneath Minerva dangle one sided silverplate faux coins of Hector and the central one who I am guessing is either Julius Caesar or Marcus Aurelius. No matter who it is the brooch is just gorgeous! As you can see I have quite a bit of antique and vintage sterling silver jewelry available for sale separately. The brooch itself is made of sterling silver the faux coins are silverplate. The back has several areas that I thought might be hallmarked but they are too faint for me to see. It is in superb overall condition for its age. It measures 2" long by 1.5" wide. It weighs .45 of a Troy ounce, 13.9 grams or 8.9 pennyweights.
