Beautiful vintage Harley Davidson Travel-Mate

Quite rare jacket model. These were produced in

the late 50s into the 60s as a ladies version of the

Traveler mens jacket.

I believe this is a 1958-59 model, based on the label.

At some point, I was asked by Harley Davidson to

share photos of this piece.

I’m not sure if these were made with Steerhide

or Horsehide. Very thick leather, and hasn’t even

been properly broken in yet! Zoom in to see the

texture of the hide. It reminds me of horsehide

quite a bit, but no tags to confirm.

Some normal signs of wear, but surprisingly

good condition. No neck or upper back cracks

in the leather :)

Flaws:

- One collar snap is broken (not seen when collar is flat)

- Normal fading on sleeves

- Minor scuff marks

Waist is slightly elastic, I’d consider this a

modern day size XS to Small ladies
