This is an original press photo. Warren, Michigan - General Motors Research Laboratories engineers have, in effect, developed a portable crosswind to determine effects of wind disturbance on automobile handling. It is a rocket engine powered by hydrogen peroxide and capable of a 50 to 200 lb thrust. Instrumentation in the back seat records the car's motions in response to the "crosswind" which can be accurately controlled and timed.Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated --None.
