Old Mailbox Mail Letter Slot Row House Open LEFT Side Vintage 1900’s Cast Iron

A great old antique mailbox. It has a nice patina and it displays well.

• The mailbox has no cracks or repairs. 
• The black paint looks in very good condition and is likely within the last 20 years.
• There is green and lime green paint inside.
• A very typical design with the LEFT side open.
•  You would have mounted it on the door with the open side close to the door jamb or on the door frame with the open side close to the door 
• To remove mail, you got it out easily through the open side rather than try to work it back out of the slot. 
• It would be from the early 1900’s.
• Patent applied for.

•  4 5/8" wide 
•  1 3/4" deep.
