A 7 5/8 inch tall amber-colored cylinder-shaped antique patent 'quack' bottle that originally contained a HEROIN based medicine.  These are rare bottles to find and this one with its original paper label is POSSIBLY a UNIQUE one-of-a-kind bottle with the original paper label.  This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE Blown Glass bottle with a cork top, dating back to early 1900.

These bottle contained a patent medicine and one of the main ingredients in it was Heroin, Glyco Heroin.   Heroin was used over a century ago as an ingredient in cough syrup, to suppress the cough and suppressing the discomfort that is associated with it.  Yet it did much more than that as patients came to find out that they kept using the syrup long after the cough was gone.   Heroin is one of the most addictive substances known to mankind.   This is one of the very few antique bottles that actually has the word " HEROIN " embossed in the glass which makes it quite appealing.   But the best part is the ORIGINAL PAPER LABEL that is on this example.  It is the only one we've ever seen with the original paper label on it.   Even these bottles without labels are not commonly seen and quite valuable.  This one is in a bright color and in EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN CONDITIONcheck it out!
