Replacing a windshield wiper blade's rubber is a relatively simple process. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Purchase a replacement rubber blade that is the same size or larger than your current blade.

2. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.

3. Locate the release tab or button on the wiper blade, and press it to release the old blade from the wiper arm.

4. Slide the old rubber blade out of the wiper frame.

5. Remove the backbone from old rubber insert

6. Replace the back bone in your new rubber blades

7. Slide the new rubber blade into the wiper frame.

8. Reattach the wiper blade to the wiper arm, making sure that it clicks into place.

9. Gently lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
