PowerBook G3 DVD SuperDrive Module Drive

This is not the original DVD Powerbook G3 drive module, but has been built from a nonworking DVD housing/connector, into which has been inserted a much newer Apple-branded SuperDrive UJ-846-c version of the drive mechanism.

So being, as the fourth picture shows, it does not have a face place with eject button as the original Powerbook G3 module did. However, the disc automatically inserts, and can be ejected using the trackpad or eject key (I used F12 on a Pismo).

I tested this to play a DVD in a Pismo Powerbook G3 running OSX Tiger.

This is only guaranteed to work in the Pismo 400MHz or 500MHz models, running Tiger or Leopard.

If you have a Lombard 333/400MHz M5342 you should not buy this.
