"The Girl Friend," words by Lorenz Hart and Music by Richard Rodgers. Eight pages front to back with a 1926 copyright. Published by Harms Inc, New York. 9 in x 11 in. (approximately). Cover art shows a large orange oval at center left with orange and white rays emitting and the words, "Lew Fields presents a new Musical Comedy "The Girl Friend" with credits below and a list of other songs from the production at lower right." Girl Friend a musical comedy with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart and book by Herbert Fields. This was the longest running show for the trio to that date. It opened on Broadway at the Vanderbilt Theatre on March 17, 1926, and closed on December 27, 1926, after 301 performances. Produced by Lew Fields (Herbert's father), staged by John Harwood with musical staging by Jack Haskell, the cast starred Sammy White, Eva Puck and June Cochrane. Good to very good condition (one small tear at top of first page and a bottom seam split have been repaired inside with clear tape.)
