Pen: Fair / good condition

Cap: Fair condition; engraving: <<SHEAFFER'S - MADE IN U.S.A.>>; has a dent on top (pic 14)

Nib: Good condition; engraving (four lines): <<SHEAFFER'S REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A. 14K>>

Shell: Good condition; visulated (but darkened)

Barrel: Good condition; imprint (three lines): W. A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A., MADE IN U.S.A.>>

Knob and filling mechanism: Good condition; when the filling mechanism is not extended, the knob does not "sit" perfectly well on the barrel but rather stays around 0,2 mm away from it

Length: 133,3 mm capped, 117,8 mm uncapped

Comments: The pen has been disassembled, cleaned, and fitted with a new sac and a new rubber seal; the pen charges and writes well, F / M line, wet, stiff, little feedback.

Historical note: The identification of the pen is based on http://www.richardspens.com/ref/profiles/td_tm.htm; this model seems to be the one displayed on p. 6 of the Sheaffer's 1949 catalog available on the website of the Pen Collectors of America.
