This is a beautiful 8.5 x 11 color Art photo signed by Don Drysdale.  The artist, Nicholas Volpe, one of America's most distinguished portrait painters was commissioned exclusively by the Union 76 Oil Company of CA to do player portraits in pastel from life.  Drysdale  won the CY Young award in the 1962 season with 25 games and inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame in 1984.  This is signed in blue ink pen and is an original autograph, that I got signed in person. This is a great item for a very reasonable price.  You can be confident that it is the real thing, AUTHENTIC AUTOGRAPH.

**** I have been collecting autographs for over 60+ years and have an extensive collection.  Most of the items I got signed in person.   From 1962-1967 I worked for the LA Dodgers and LA Angels as a souvenir vendor and later as a stand manager. From 1974-1988 I was a Professional Free Lance photographer who worked in all the stadiums and events in Southern CA: (baseball, basketball, football, hockey, boxing and golf). So I had many opportunities to work with the ball players on the field, in the dugouts, dressing rooms and at their homes. This is just a snippet of my history. ****

Drysdale was always one of my favorites, so I have lots of items signed by him that I got in person.

Don Drysdale was an American professional baseball player and television sports commentator. A right-handed pitcher for the Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodgers for his entire career in Major League Baseball, Drysdale was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.

This would be a great item to add to your sports collection.
