Offered is a extremely rare Weta Workshop Long Service Award sword given to Barrie Osborne from Weta co-founders Richard Taylor & Tania Rodgers, thanking his for his service and contribution to the Lord of the Rings (he was executive producer) . Designed and sculpted for Weta Workshop to give to key employees after long service. There are 3 swords of long service-  10 years(bronze), 15 years (silver) & 20 years (gold). This is for 20 years. The sword award is in it's original weta box (slightly beaten up).

I got all 3 swords and an elven warrior statue in which Barrie could then place one of the 3 swords to display it properly. This listing is only for the sword itself! In the picture gallery is a photo showing the dedication on the brass plaque that was attached to the sword displaying elven statue  that reads:"To our dear friend Barrie, thank you for all the amazing opportunities. Cheers to you from Richard, Tania and all the team at Weta Workshop". This photo is shown as further provenance that this sword belonged to Barrie himself.

Sword measures approx. 15 inches and is made from solid metal  ( I assume brass) Small oxidation signs and minor scratches but nothing serious.

If you are a LOTR fan and looking for an absolutely rare and highly displayable piece- this is it. I've been collecting Lord of the Rings memorabilia for almost 15 years and have never seen another such piece before in anyone's collection. Remember- those were only given to key people like Peter Jackson, Barrie, Harvery Weinstein, etc. Not to  ordinary crew members!
