Gibson made the 335-S Custom from 1980 to 1981. It was a had a solid mahogany ES-335 style double cutaway body. The 335-S Custom was the middle range model in the 335-S Series and had two Gibson Dirty Fingers humbuckers, with coil tap switch, two volume and two tone controls. The 335-S Custom had a TP6 fine tuner tailpiece and tune-o-matic bridge.
As part of the Gibson Firebrand Series, the 335-S Customs usually had “FIREBRAND 335-S CUSTOM” engraved on the truss rod cover and the Gibson logo branded into the headstock.
