Currently retired and living in Chicago with two shelter dogs and his soul mate, the author came to Chicago from France in 1955 at the age of ten. After learning English from the dictionary, he quickly adjusted to American life. He began programming computers eight years later at a major bank in downtown Chicago. After two years of service during the Vietnam conflict, he attended Illinois State University on the GI Bill and returned to Chicago to work at the same bank as a system analyst. Eventually moving into executive sales of high-level software to Fortune 500 companies, he developed further insight into the connectivity of all systems. After serving a two-year contract in Saudi Arabia as a manager for a Saudi software company, he returned to Chicago to reestablish himself. The six-week vacation between the two years was used to tour the globe and gather more insights. In 1995, he teamed up with a partner to found Cognitor, Inc. The primary product was named Cogitator (thinker). This software mirrors the workings of the human brain. Most of this book is based on the work done to explain the product. He published "The Mind - User Manual" in 2007 and is a member of Mensa.
