• Causes of fuel pump failure
  •   Fuel pumps typically operate for seven to ten years before failure. Premature failures are most commonly caused by one of the following reasons:
    • Excessive Hot/Cold Environments
    • Contaminated fuel
    • Excessively running a vehicle on a near empty tank which prevents the pump from being fully submerged causing it to overheat

    • Make Sure Fits

Check related fuel system components such as fuel filter, relays, vehicle wiring and connectors chassis grounds, fuel perssure regulator and fuel itself.

    • Relieve System Fuel Pressure
    • Disconnect the Battery

Disconnect negative battery cable to reduce possibility of sparks or engine staring.

    • Empty Fuel the Battery

Drain fuel into approved containers and dispose of per local codes or regulation.
