Takeharu WK150 Acoustic Guitar with Hard Case c.1973-79.

A gorgeous Takeharu WK-150 6 string acoustic guitar,
appears to be spruce front with mahogany back and sides,
classic dreadnought shape, 20 frets with an adjustable bridge,
synthetic pick guard made to look like almost like burr walnut,
neck and head also appear to be a single piece of mahogany.

Takeharu Guitars were a brand of the Kiso Suzuki Violin company,
made in Japan, the factory operating between 1973 and 1979.
The Takeharu name comes from Yamamoto Takeharu (b. may 22, 1925),
a guitar player and composer who played a large part,
in the spread of the popularity of guitar music in Japan.
The WK-150 seems to be a rare model in the mid to higher end,
but we have been unable to find much information on it.

Comes with a metal capo, and pitch pipe,
all in a lined hard carry case.

The guitar is in good condition,
the fingerboard needs a little care,
all metal strings show some tarnish,
sound hole has a little wear on one side,
there are two small dings in the spruce front,
and a small pin chip in the varnish on one shoulder,
and some light surface scratches to the varnish from use,
and a little dusty from storage,
but still plays beautifully with lovely tone,
and deep resonant sound quality.

Case is marked, has little surface corrosion on the hinges,
and has a few spots of damage to the cover material,
but still in good working order.

Overall a really nice guitar that has been forgotten somewhere,
in need of a little care to make the most of it.
as shown in the pictures.
