Overview

GDDF3-40 incorpaorating MCB ,RCD and arc fault detection module, provides protection against short circuit, overload, leakage current and arc fault.Zero-sequence transformer of RCD detects leakage current, and arc fault module detects arc fault, which enable the product effectively disconnect the protected circuit in case of either leakage current fault or arc fault.

Application

GDDF3-40,applicable to AC circuit with rated current up to 40A, provides protection against arc fault, overload, short circuit and leakage current fault happened to branch circuits in lighting distribution and power distribution system.

The arc fault detection module of GDDF3-40 can effectively detect and identify arc faults in its protected circuit with desabled insulation layer due to aging, damaging or high humidity. The product trips and disconnects the circuit upon detection of arc faults.

Normal operating conditions

Ambient temperature is 5℃ or + 40℃,the average daily highest temperature is +35℃.
Relative humidity:Maximum value is 50% when the temperature is 40℃ and 90% when the temperature is 20℃.

Indicating light function scheme

Instruction:When installing this product,disconnect the upper stream power supply, and then connect the LINE and LOAD as per following steps:

1.Turn on upper stream power supply, switch on the GDDF3-40,the illuminated push button flashes with green light at time interval 0.6s and the product starts normal service

2.Switch on GDDF3-40, connect load, press test button, the product trips, the green light turns off and the illuminated push button flashes once with yellow light fand goes off,which means product is at normal service.

3.During normal operation of a load, if the GDDF3-40 trips both green and yellow indicating light turns off, then first disconnect load and then switch the product handle to ON position.If the yellow indicating light flashes for 5-6 times and then turns off, last trip must have been caused by arc fault. If the yellow indicating light does not flash, last trip must have been resulted from overload or short circuit.trips and the illuminated push button pops up, then first disconnect load, reset illuminated push button and switch the product handle to ON position. If the yellow light flashes for 5-6 times and then turns off, last trip must have been caused by arc fault. If illuminated push button does not pop up, last trip must have been resulted from overload or short circuit.

4.4.Confirmation about arc fault happened to the down stream circuit.After sequence 3 is performed,switch on ADDF3-40,connect again the load to the product and try to operate the load.If the yellow light flashes once, the product trips and circuit gets disconnected, then arc fault must have occurred. Professional electrician is requested to investigate and correct the protected circuit.

5.5.Contact the supplier or manufacturer for any abnormal service.

Installation

*Inspection should be carried out before installation to ensure that GDDF3-40 is intact and flexible, the mark is in conformity with the usage requirement.

*A protective metal panel with earth connection or a panel made of insulated material shall be mounted as prevention against electric shock if an GDDF3-40 is installed separatedly other than being installed in a distribution box.

*Any calibration on GDDF3-40 by user is prohibited.
