A 5 7/8 inch tall rectangular-shaped clear-glass antique HELENA and BUTTE MONTANA drug store or pharmacy bottle.  This partnership dates back to the early days of Montana Territory (M.T.) and Parchen & D'Acheul were related through marriage. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back ca. 1880's.

• Bottle embossed:  "PARCHEN-D'ACHEUL DRUG CO. / HELENA AND BUTTE".   

• Condition:   Bottle is in good solid condition and besides the stain and etching you see, it has NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.  PLEASE see pictures for overall idea of condition.

• Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's.

Back in 1800's a partnership of related druggists was paired up in Montana.  Pioneer Helena druggist Henry Parchen, partnered up with his wife's brother, Harry D'Acheul originally from Deer Lodge but later from Butte, and the Company became exactly what is embossed on this bottle, the Parchen-D'Acheul Drug Co. of Helena and Butte, Montana.  Generally speaking, Henry ran the store in Helena and Harry ran the store in Butte.  Prior to this partnership, each of these druggists had there own drug stores, the D’Acheul Drug Company in Butte, and the H. M. Parchen Drug Co., in Helena.   When they merged, they had bottles embossed just like the one for sale here, that did not have the state embossed on them, just both towns, so that they could use the bottles at both stores.  This is why these bottles are embossed as they are.   They are scarce-to-rare bottle for whatever reason, they are more rare than scarce as we've only ever found 3 of them, check it out!
