Measuring For Window Treatments:
- Consider your window operating hardware (handles and cranks) when measuring and considering product selection.

Step 1: Determine type of treatment installation
- Will you mount inside or outside the window casing?
- CHECK THE CASING DEPTH. If less than 2”, an outside mount is required.
- CHECK THE SQUARENESS. Measure the window casing diagonally in two places. If the two diagonal dimensions are not equal, we recommend an outside mount application for optimal function and aesthetics.

Notes:
- Always use a steel tape measure. Do not use cloth tape measure as it may stretch. - For Inside Mounts, take a ½” deduction for clearance.

Step 2: Measure the width of the window
- Inside mount: Measure width at top, middle, and bottom of window. Write down the narrowest measurement (round down to an even ⅛"). Then, deduct ½”.
- Outside mount: Measure to the outside edges of the molding, then add 4” to ensure light control and privacy.

Step 3: Measure the height of the window
- Inside mount: Measure height at left, middle, and right of window. Use the longest measurement (round down to an even ⅛").
- Outside mount: Measure the exact height of the window from top edge of molding to bottom edge or to top of sill if there is one. You may adjust the length to your preference.

For ordering the right size blind:
- Record your window measurements. For inside mount blinds, order blinds ½” less the width of your window. For outside mount blinds, order blinds 4" wider than your window opening.
