Item: Mercedes SL range booklet/brochure. A gift from Mercedes to those who had registered an interest in the SL class. Designed no doubt to tempt you to buy one; but an unusual, rare, and rather lovely item if you're an SL owner; a celebration of 60 years of the SL from 1952 to 2012.
Pictures within cover a newer SL model. Then a look back with a pen-picture of various SL models than went before... the W194 from the 50s, the W198 (300SL) from the mid 50s to 1963 is pictured and described. Then a quick look at the W113 Pagoda, the R107, R129 and an up-to-date R230; then a gallery of some more well known SL owners. Delicious photography.
This is a sumptuous quality hard-cover book, which comes in a bespoke presentation case and a must have if you own an SL... with some really good photography evident in the many shots of the SL evolution. Many of the shots within are seemingly black and white. But when you look closely, amongst all the shades of grey, colour occasionally comes through, making you appreciate the subtlety of this book.
Year range: 2012 (and all those models going back to 1952).
Preparation / Print date: Not shown in book, but came direct from Mercedes UK in 2012.
Condition: Excellent, new condition. No signs of it having been read or thumbed, no fade or stains. No corner dents or damage. Has been dry-stored in a plastic bag.
Size/pages: Book: 245 x 165mm. 32 pages (excl. covers). Plus two cards (single sided) as pictured. Presentation box size: 285 x 205 x 35mm.
Colour or black/white: Full colour throughout. Quality photography printed on quality card. Please see the pictures, which form part of the product description, and my comments above about the use of what seems initially to be black and white images.
Language: English (UK).

I will aim to mark the package ‘gently fold but do not crease’ to avoid undue damage by the Postie, but you know the size of your letter-box... if you have any specific instructions please advise at time of purchase/end of bidding.
Brochure dates/model range covered: I normally look for the print date marked on the brochure if it is does not clearly display what model range / year it covers. If the vehicle you’re interested in falls on a model changeover period etc then do feel free to ask me for any pertinent info.
