It was released to celebrate the PlayStation 5 game Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and was originally produced as a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive but due to Covid it was used changed to be used as part of the PlayStation sweepstakes. As part of the promotion, if you completed the main story of Marvel's Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 and earn the End Game Trophy you were entered to win 1 of 1650 units.
