1967 Press Photo Soviet Union likes to purchase this American-made submarine

This is an original press photo. The Soviet Union would like to purchase this American-made submarine, according to a spokesman for General Dynamics -- the firm which manufactures the small, two-man affair designed for ocean floor research. A General Dynamics spokesman says Soviet scientists saw the model on display in Frankfurt, Germany, last year and he indicated the submarine will be sold if the firm receives State Department approval. Photo measures 9 x 8 inches. Photo is dated 02-22-1967.
