Large antique map from 1786. It represents the west coast of Iceland as well as the ice lines off Greenland. The Map was drawn up by Löwenörn (Paul de Løvenørn), captain of Frigate.
Dimensions: 44 x 65 cm
Numerous horizontal and vertical creases because the Map has been folded. Some defects, mainly in the margins including small tears.
Paul de Løvenørn was a Danish naval officer and cartographer, scientist, administrator and diplomat.
