pre 1942   tropical rank patch for a oberschutze ,

 with branch colour in yellow 

measuring 5.7cm across 

in very good condition 

this rank was abolished in 1945 

#  the branch colour was added to the rank patch in a attempt  to make the patch  stand out on the tropical uniform 

     in 1942  the patch itself was replaced with the standard  dark coloured patches worn on regular army / ss  uniforms
