and the Irving Thalberg Memorial Award (1957). 

Produced the film Bus Stop (1956) starring Marilyn Monroe.

Head of Production 20th Century Fox 1956 until his death in 1960.

Married to actress Anita Louise. 



Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jean Mortensen) was an American actress, 
an internationally famous cinematic sex goddess.

31 film credits; 2 television credits on the Jack Benny Program (1952-1953).

Niagara (1953), How to Marry a Millionaire (1953), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), 
The Seven Year Itch (1955), Bus Stop (1956), Some Like It Hot (1959), The Misfits (1961) 
which was hers and her co-star Clark Gable's last film. 

Married to baseball great Joe DiMaggio (1954-1955) and playwright 
Arthur Miller !956-1961). 

Died at age 36 of a barbiturate overdose.
