Phoxinus Katana Claw Hooks

  • BIG CARP - Phoxinus designed their Katana Hooks with anglers targetting the biggest carp in mind.
  • STRENGTH - The angular shape, the high-carbon Japanese steel, and the forging process offer the strength required to land massive fish.
  • SECURE HOLD - Once hooked beyond the first angle, fish find it exceptionally difficult to shake free, meaning less chance of losing your fish.
  • HOOKING POTENTIAL - The graphite grey colour is challenging for carp to detect, and the low-friction Teflon coating provides superior hook penetration.
  • UK COMPANY - Phoxinus are a UK business based in the North West

Phoxinus Katana carp hooks were designed with the modern carp angler, targetting the biggest fish, in mind.

These wide-gape hooks feature an angular bend, which has two functions. Firstly, when combined with forged, high-carbon Japanese steel, the shape offers greater strength than many traditional hooks, which is essential when fighting the largest carp.
Secondly, fish find it very difficult to get free once they are hooked beyond the first angle, significantly decreasing the chances of you losing a record fish.

After the hooks are formed, a graphite grey Teflon coating is applied. The minimal glare helps ensure that even the most timid carp aren't easily spooked, while the low-friction properties of Teflon considerably increase hook penetration.

An essential part of a carp angler's arsenal, these cutting-edge hooks have many applications, including making lethal Ronnie rigs.
