Rookie race driver Mel Kenyon is roped in on a gag as he clowns with a cigar handed him by a mechanic after the Davenport, Iowa, racer qualified for a starting berth in the Indianapolis 500 scheduled for Monday. The only hitch is that Kenyon doesn't smoke.Photo measures 8.75 x 8inches. Photo is dated 05-29-1965.
