**RARE** Beautiful Ray-Ban B&L W2322 YXAS Sidestreet Gridlock Silver Mirrored Sunglasses With Ray-Ban Hard Case.

PLEASE READ:

PREFACE: There are barely noticeable imperfections on the lenses that do not impede vision. The only visible flaw is a small, round chip in the center of the left lens. I would consider these as being in phenomenal condition considering that they are well over 30-years-old. It’s inevitable that there will be some flaws since these were made in the 1980’s/ 1990’s: nothing, even if preserved, is impervious to the effects of aging. I try to be as thorough as possible in my listings, so I’ve included anything I could possible think of.

These are a part of Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb's hard to find "Sidestreet" collection from the late 1980’s through late 1990’s. This pair in particular is very difficult to come across. Bausch & Lomb had various different productions of short-term sunglass lines (e.g. the "Diamond Hard," The "General," "Ambermatic," "Orbs," “Chromax,” etc.) which are relatively unknown today outside of a community of collectors and vintage sunglass enthusiasts.

This particular pair has a matte silver metal frame around the silver, mirrored “Sidestreet” lenses. The lenses are a small teardrop shaped, which gives a unique style to the more common, large Ray-Ban styles.

The design on these is unique, from the arms to the frames of the sunglasses themselves. These appear to be unworn, and I would assume that the imperfections on the lenses are just due to accidental damage from being moved in and out of cases in the past. This is just my assumption, though.

They DO come with a Ray-Ban hard case, but it is NOT the original Ray-Ban case. Additionally, the case is in pretty rough condition. It seems to be some sort of faux leather that has started to disintegrate over time. It is very sturdy, but not very aesthetically pleasing. I’ve attached images of the case as well. The sunglasses fit perfectly inside it, though.

These sunglasses have the common identifying marks of authentic B&L-era Ray-Bans: The "Ray-Ban" insignia is marked on the upper-left corner of the left lens, and the "B&L" initials are embossed on both the left and right lenses on the outer edge adjacent to the arm hinges. “B&L Ray Ban” is on the inside of the right arm, and the “W2322 YXAS” model number is on the inside of the left temple tip. The left plastic temple tip also has a small chip on the inside end of it (shown above).
