An 8 1/2 inch tall rectangular-shaped clear-glass antique BERKELEY CALIFORNIA drug store bottle.  It is a RARE BOTTLE to find from Berkeley and about impossible to find in this larger PINT SIZE.  This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to the later 1800's.

  • Bottle embossed:    "SOBEL'S / DRUGS OF QUALITY / BERKELEY, CAL."   Base embossed "W.B.M. CO."  (Western Bottle Manufacturing Co. I think)  It is also embossed "3xvi" above embossed panel.   3XVI is the Roman Numeral for 16 ounces.

  • Condition:   This bottle is in good solid condition.   It has cloudy haze and age wear from a century of time but NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.  PLEASE see pictures for overall idea of bottle's appearance/condition.

  • Age:  An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's.

A RARE bottle to find from BERKELEY CALIFORNIA especially in this large pint size.  Berkeley was a still a small town in the late 1800's and to this day there are not a lot of embossed bottles from Berkeley.  Most of the embossed bottles from Berkeley you see are usually post 1900 double top pharmacy bottles, but even then not in this LARGER SIZE.   This is a rare find to be sure, check it out!
