is Menuki?
Menuki is a type of sword accessory that is attached near the center of the handle, which is the part that is held in the hand.
A small metal fitting that is attached to the front and back of the handle and is used to secure the handle and stem by passing it through a hole made in the "stem" (nakago). While they had the function of preventing slipping and making it easier for people to get stuck in their hands, as time passed, they became more decorative and were decorated with various designs such as animals and plants that brought good luck.
