Description This is a period Heian Zôhiko Zukuri incense container with maki-e lacquer on a willow and ox design.
We guarantee its authenticity.
The maki-e lacquer work has been carefully done down to the smallest detail and is a work of deep taste that has passed through the ages.
The plate on the back of the lid of the box is missing.
The work is in good condition with no noticeable damage, although there are some scratches and stains due to age.
This is a very tasteful piece of Heian Zôhiko artwork that has passed its time.
