Ir. Dr. Norhaliza Abdul Wahab is an Associate Professor in the department of Control & Mechatronics Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Dr. Norhaliza's primary research areas are in the field of modeling, estimation and identification, control and optimisation of linear, nonlinear and hybrid dynamical systems in the application of industrial process plants, particularly oil and gas, refining, water and wastewater treatment systems. 
Her research recently focuses on prediction, modeling and control of dynamic performance of water and wastewater treatment using the conventional activated sludge (CAS), aerobic granular sludge (AGS) and membrane bioreactor (MBR) technologies. Dr. Norhaliza received her Ph.D in Electrical Engineering majoring in Control from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom in July 2009. The PhD thesis is Data-driven Identification and Control Design for Wastewater Systems.
