This is an extremely rare first printing copy of the 1967 bestselling novel by James Jones.  The boards and bindings are in very nice condition and there is no spine lean.  The pages are crisp and clean and there are no previous owner marks.  No remainder marks.  This is a true first edition hardcover published by Delacorte Press and a stated first printing of the first edition.  This is NOT a book club or ex-library copy.  The dust jacket is in very nice condition for the age, having been protected by a clear archival cover, and has not been price clipped, $7.50.  Overall, a very rare and very collectible first edition, first printing hardcover copy of this title and one that would make a great addition to any collection.  Very rare indeed!!!
