Up for sale is a brand new, old stock Game & Watch console featuring the game Donkey Kong.

This DK-52 G&W console was produced in the year 1982 by Nintendo’s ever-famous developers Gunpei Yokoi and Shigeru Miyamoto. One of many of Nintendo’s G&W games, Donkey Kong was an instant success coming to its very own handheld. Being the very debut game and first appearance of the video game industry’s most famous mascot, Mario (then known simply as Jumpman), there is a rich and lucrative history being this game as a whole. From the Universal Studios lawsuit to the very fact that this game’s characters became some of Nintendo’s iconic faces through the years and up into present day, this piece of video game history is one to truly be cherished for all that it is.

This console is brand new in the box and shows shelf wear, being from 1982. There is some moisture damage to the box and paperwork (namely, the manual staple) as well as corrosion to the sealed original batteries. You have to remember that piece is over 40 years old to date as of today. The years have been as kind as they could possibly be to it although there were some obvious hiccups along the way.

This is tested with replacement (new) button cell batteries and shown to be in perfect, working condition.
