Vintage Motorola Star-TAC Cellular Phones

For sale- a lot of three Vintage Motorola Star-TAC Cellular Phones plus accessories.  I would say as pictured but in some of the pictures perhaps there is a charger that I later took out because it does not fit the phones.  In spite of that the sale includes 3 working chargers and three of the original NiCad batteries (two fat, one thin).  I put the phones on the chargers long enough to ascertain that all three power up and begin searching for an analog network that no longer exists.  One of them stayed on charge long enough for the battery to take enough of a charge that the phone didn’t go off as soon as I pulled the charger out of the wall.  Which was pretty surprising I thought given how long I have had them.

All three phones, one Alltel and two GTE show obvious signs of use, and I do not guarantee them to be functional beyond powering up.  And I don’t know if there are any networks these would work with these days anyway, so basically sold as mementoes of the early years of cellular.  I was not a big fan of cell phones until these came out and right away I had to have one.  So cool by the standards of the day.  Sale also includes a couple of manuals as pictured, also in well used condition.

All items are sold as is with no warranty offered unless one is specifically stated.  However, IF you pay the Buy It Now price and find a problem that you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it for a refund of the purchase price.  Accepted Best Offers are strictly as is sale and no returns will be accepted.  Any testing done will be explicitly stated in the listing and any accessory items will also be mentioned or pictured.  If it isn’t pictured or mentioned you can assume it is not part of the sale.

Please add a $13.99 flat rate for shipping anywhere in the continental US (which does NOT include Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam or APO/FPO addresses).  I will ship via the carrier and level of service of my choice unless we specifically decide on a favored carrier option.  I will, at my option, ship worldwide via USPS for the actual cost as determined by USPS.com.
