1957 Press Photo Students at Ella Dolhonde stricken with "mass food poisoning."

This is an original press photo. State and parish health authorities today launched an investigation into a "mass food poisoning" which sent scores of students home from a Metairie elementary school this week. Parents reported that as many as half the students at the Ella Dolhonde School were stricken after eating canned meat in the school cafeteria Wednesday. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 02-08-1957.
