My receiving blankets are made with flannel fabrics, with double rolled hems. I make these larger that you can usually get in the stores. Sizes depend on what the fabric measures from the manufacturer. Will soften upon washing. Larger size so the blanket can be used as your child is still growing! My son used to cuddle with his blankets even when he was a toddler. He had me make him a new one when his wore out! Machine wash and dry.
