....Great, underrated, largely ignored debut LP (on CD) from long standing side pianist and “Session Man” Nicky Hopkins who plays and sings beautifully here with a little help from friends Mick Taylor, Klaus Voorman, Bobby Keys, Ray Cooper and ‘George O’Hara (Harrison) on the slide. Recorded at Apple studios around the same time as the sessions for ‘Living in the Material World’. A mix of some really nice sweeping Del Newman orchestrated ballads and more uptempo boogie tunes that balance it out all well. Always surprised it’s not more highly regarded...definitely deserves attention if a stones, kinks, beatles fan....
