Up for Auction is a nice collectible single trumpet air horn marked D2357.  This air horn was tested and sounded good and loud.  The horn came out of a model train collection from a hobby store owner.  The single trumpet air horn measures approximately 16 inches.  I do not know if the horn came off of a Diesel train, or if it is just vintage.  Either way it can work for you.
