This rug is the classic design that is a knitted "Afghan", except that it is a beautiful 1930s Belouch woven rug. The wool is soft and though the rug is worn, it can still shine on a hardwood floor with a pad under it.

It is a beautifully woven and designed rug, that is somewhat Art Deco and somewhat country and rustic. It would work well with a small country home or folky collection. It might have the old remnants of a moth in one corner area that's not real visible and it has one corner end that switches fringe type. Overall though, it's a nice older rug.

This was one of my first rugs in my collection. I purchased it because it's a very different Belouch design and almost a parody of the knitted "Afghan". Please look at the photos carefully; they're part of the rug description and with an older rug - an important part. I photographed this rug outdoors on a sunny California day. If you want more photos or have any questions, please let me know. I hope you enjoy this rug. Best - Bruce
