Vintage 1930s Jewell Electrical Instrument Co. Amperes Meter.

The front of the meter is 4.25", the back of the meter is 4.75", and the width is 2.5". 

These meters are used to measure the current in a circuit. This meter goes up to 400 in both directions. It has 78 M.V. and the number 312464 on the bottom below the needle. 

Made by Jewell Electrical Instrument Co. in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.

The outer part of the meter is scuffed and worn due to age and use. There is some slight rusting in areas where the paint has come off. the original nuts and bolts are still intact along with the glass. There are also a few scratches on the glass but it is free of any cracks or chips.
