Seal expander
Usage: Before installing the PTFE piston seal, expand its diameter to make the inner diameter of the seal slightly larger than the outer diameter of the piston, avoiding the use of sliding expansion to cross the tool surface or causing the seal to be damaged by sharp angles on the piston surface and guide ring groove without special tools.
Product Instructions:
1. First, heat the PTFE piston seal to 120 ℃ with hot air. You can use a regular oven or an industrial hair dryer. If the environment is limited, 80 ℃ is also acceptable. Try not to use hot water or oil as much as possible to avoid chemical reactions between seals and media that may damage the material.
2. Open the step plate and adjust the positioning nut on the center pillar to control the maximum expansion size.
3. Place the PTFE piston seal on a suitable sized step.
4. Press down on the handle to open the PTFE piston seal in place.
5. Take out the PTFE piston seal, make sure the size is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the piston, and then fit it onto the piston groove.
6. Use the stainless steel strip of the seal tensioner to press the PTFE piston seal back into the sealing groove, maintain for 15 to 30 seconds, until the seal is completely cooled and installed. (The seal tensioner needs to be purchased separately.)
Attention: The applicable PTFE piston seal has an inner diameter range of 35-250mm, and the seal height does not exceed 7.5mm.
