Up for sale today is this Rare Antique 1840's Scrimshaw Ships Captain Geo Amos Sailors Prayer Book. The front and back covers are scrimshaw with sailing ship on the cover and an angel on land with ship in background. The back of the book cover reads "This book belongs to George Amos Master of the Baroque "Vernon"". Measures 3 7/8" x 2 3/8". Tee book is in very nice condition for the age with very minimal wear.
