Ancient big (20 inch by 10 inch) Marx tin train station made last century in the 40's and 50's. But with a very uncommon feature: This one has a knob that when twirled produces arrival/departure announcements. After 70 plus years the sounds are more like a falsetto parrot gargling--but sounds they are. And not as common as the normal non-sound station--this one is the higher valued of the two depots that are described in Greenburg's first book on Marx. The rest of the piece is in good shape--all tabs appear to be intact: a couple of spots of litho loss where, probably, a little hand once turned the knob on the roof, one just starting to rust spot, and two small apparent paint drips.
