For your consideration. This is a beautiful Imperial Pearl gold filled necklace from the 1950s.  This exquisite necklace is the epitome of mid-century elegance and timeless beauty.  The 12K gold filled design features two elongated leaves fastened together with a beautiful coiled gold braid.  The leaves have a textured center with a polished gold border. On the leaves are gold wired strands of Akoya pearls that are absolutely beautiful.  The pearls have a lustrous sheen and the necklace is extremely beautiful and elegant.   The center design is 3 1/4" wide.    The necklace is stamped IPS and 12K GF on a raised cartouche on the back of the necklace.  It has an open hook and extension chain finished with a heart charm.   The gold sleek chain is beautiful with no discoloration.  This necklace is in exceptional condition.

IPS stands for Imperial Pearls which was founded by Joseph Gladstone in 1917, later renamed the Imperial Pearl Syndicate in 1941. It was during the post-war period that Imperial became the first to bring the valued Akoya pearls to the United States from Japan.

The low price does not reflect the value of the jewelry. I am always happy to combine shipping in the US.  I am unable to combine shipping internationally.   (Slight signs of wear or tarnish are considered typical for authentic vintage piece, such as light surface scratches or patina.  This type of normal wear attests to an item's age and adds to it's vintage charm and character.)
