Very rare and original, ca1920 Marklin Live Steam Toy Train Engine / Locomotive No. 4001 and matching Tender along with a Marklin 18750 Box Car.


    This wonderful, working Live Steam Toy Railroad Train measures approx. 20 1/2" long overall and would run on an O Gauge track. The Live Steam Locomotive Engine itself measures approx 8 1/2” long, 5” tall (to the top of the whistle) and 3 1/4” wide across the cylinders at the front end. The Engine is made of brass, cast iron, steel and tin and is in working condition. The Locomotive and Tender feature painted surfaces and the Gebruder Marklin brass label affixed to the front of the boiler.


    The matching Marklin tender is marked “0/35” and features a very well preserved, original painted surface. The sliding door Train Car is marken “Marklin” and carries the number “18750” on each side.


    We are not experts on Steam Engine Toys but we believe that this 0-4-0 Locomotive and Rolling Stock Set was produced between 1915 and 1925.


    This wonderful, Marklin Live Steam Railroad Train is in very good condition. The Locomotive, Tender and Box Car are complete and 100% original. The Steam Locomotive is complete and in working condition and includes its original burner. Although we have not fired up the Engine we guarantee it to be in working order. There is some old surface restoration to the Engine and possibly the Tender while the lithographed surfaces of the Box Car is 100% original and generally well preserved. All of the couplers are intact and in working condition. Other than the surface touch-up to the Locomotive and Tender, there are no repairs to any of the pieces of the Set and all parts are original.
