Heavy Brass Maritime Lamp - Vtg Style Oil Lantern - Great Britain 1939 No. 3954

This is for a fantastic vintage style cargo light.

The front plaque reads number 3954 Great Britain 1939 and has a textured edge.

This item is in overall very good condition though pic 17 highlights a small chip to the top of one piece of glass.  This glass is not cracked, just chipped so it is not at risk of further damage and is well hidden fromm view.

I have not cleaned any of the beautiful aging that has occurred to the piece as I believe it looks better and should be left up to the end buyer to decide how to display it. Lamp is fully functional with a new wick inside and is an all-around real stunner.

This lantern measures roughly 15 in from the base to the top of the chimney and about 6 in across each side. Has locking hook still in place and hinge works exactly as one would expect and does not show any signs of having loosened up over time.
