shawl wool white/blue check 29x60 center seam narrow loam unisex 19thc antique

light weight early wool shawl with hand made fringe
1. original not reproduction, hand made mid 19th c
2. this may have started life as a blanket
3. very fine wool, soft, probably merino
4. seamed down the center
5. no holes, a could of small thin spots,
6. a small 2 in. tear on one edge, not noticeable
7. found two other small mended tears, also near the edge
8. clean except for the age yellowing where it was folded, see photo
9. did not find any stains, I would say clean

1. 29 x 60 in. plus 3 in. fringe
