Antique 1880s-1890s "The Stereo-Graphoscope" Viewer with Cards.
(1) 1880s-1890s Stereoscope Viewer. "The Stereo-Graphoscope" is stamped onto the base along with Patent dates of 1883, 1889, 1895, and 1896. The stereoscope is 11.75" in total length. The viewer piece is approximately 3.75" x 5.75" x 3". The cardholder is 6.75" long. The base is 8.75" with the cardholder attached and 4.75" without. The handle is 4.25" long. This stereoscope has a lot of wear. The wood has chipped off of one side of the viewer as shown in the photos. There are a lot of scratches and scuffs throughout. The cardholder wire pieces are broken and need to be replaced. The metal and glass in the viewer are intact and free of any chips or breaks and you can still see through them well.
(1) 1800s card pack with 23 cards. The theme for the pictures is "Wedding Bells". It is missing card numbers 15 and 17. They are approximately 3.5" x 7". The cards are very worn due to age and use and one has a crease through it. You can still still the pictures fairly well.
The stereoscope and cards are a great piece of history that is perfect for any collector!
