If you are a collector of 1980’s toys, please save/follow me in your seller feed. I am not an online store. I am an avid collector & restorer, as well as, having an extensive collection of my own 1980’s toys from childhood that have been in storage for almost 40 years. My collection consists mostly of G1 transformers, quite a few complete with packaging, Gobots, Voltron, M.A.S.K and a couple G.I. Joe items. My collection stays in storage, in large Rubbermaid bins. I do not display any of my items. They are dirt & dust free and come from a smoke & pet free home.

Up for sale is my Voltron master motorized lion force set, boxed & 100% complete. This is a one of a kind, super rare find. To be able to find this complete Voltron set boxed, in this condition, is a once in a lifetime collectible. It is time for it to find another home with someone who cherishes these collectibles as much as I do. I will do my best to give as many detailed descriptions of the packaging and lion set.

When I say this that is 100% complete, you will be getting everything that would have originally come with this set when purchased new 40 years ago. There is the external box, internal cardboard, which houses the plastic mold in which the Voltron figure is displayed. It has six original tie twists which hold the figure into the plastic mold, as well as the instruction sheet. There are the five lions and the blazing sword. I have only just recently removed this figure from the packaging. I removed it to thoroughly test & look over the Voltron, and to take the detailed photos.

The external box is in very good condition. It still has the original Ames store price tag in the upper corner. I have very carefully replaced the plastic window with a new piece of my Mylar plastic. The original window has a substantial split in the middle. I will include the original plastic window in this sale. One of the flaps is taped shut. I am fairly certain it is not the original piece of tape, I think I put that on there when I was a child. There are no substantial rips or tears in the box. The flap which opens, to take out the figure, has a 1 to 2 inch tear in it. I have glued the cardboard back together, so it won’t tear any further.

The internal cardboard frame, which surrounds the plastic mold, is in fantastic, “like new” condition.

The plastic mold which holds the figure, is in great shape. It is very clean with no discolorations. There are NO splits or tears in it. It is a little “wrinkled” around the bottom edges from being stored. I’ll do my best to show that in the photos.

The instruction manual is included. There are no discolorations or tears in it.

The five lions are 100% complete, with no broken parts or pieces. All of the 5 motorized units operate properly. All of the head joints, leg joints, mouths, tails and wings are tight and function properly. All of the motorized wheels are intact and in perfect condition, except for one of the wheels on the green lion. The left wheel on the green lion has one crack in it. I will make sure to show that in my photos. The chrome on the the lions legs is in very good condition. There are a couple of spots where it is worn and faded. I’ll do my best to show that in the photos. The stickers and paint on the figure are in phenomenal condition.

The chrome on the blazing sword is worn and faded substantially. In general, for the age, the chrome with all these motorized lions made, as well as the blazing sword, seems to be an issue. I currently have two other of these swords, and the chrome has faded & come off all of them from being in storage. Not from being played with or used.
