Morte d'Arthur; Sir Thomas Malory's Book of King Arthur and of his Noble Knights of the Round Table

London: Macmillan and Co., [1868]. With an introduction by Sir Edward Strachey, Bart. First Globe Edition. Sized 18.5 x 25.5cm. Pp. xxxvii, 496.

Condition

Publisher's original green cloth binding with gilt lettering and seal to spine, as well as seal imprint to both boards. Externally in good condition, however with light edgewear to joints, and bumping to corners and spine tips. Hinges partially loose with netting exposed in places; despite this, pages are well bound with none loose. Some foxing to pages, but heavy foxing to prelims. Some small earmarks within, but no inscriptions. Small sticker on paste-down paper at the rear, reading "Bound by Burn & C. Kirby St.". A nice, complete example.
